Brick It Campaign

For the past several years, the Sinclair PTO has worked tirelessly to enhance our outdoor facilities at Sinclair. Community fundraising combined with assistance from SPARK Park Houston allowed us to install 5 new pieces of playground equipment. The outdoor facade of the school was enhanced through the vision of artist Rose Toro with all of our students and teachers participating in the creation of her mosaic mural. Thanks to a partnership with Trees For Houston a significant number of saplings were planted around our campus. As part of our Re-SPARK campaign, families were able to leave their mark through custom silhouettes that now hang from our front fence. We’ve focused on our garden area, creating a student friendly space and brought in Ready to Grown Gardens, an enrichment program that fosters learning through experience-based garden curriculum that reinforces science TEKS.

Sadly the May ’24 derecho and July ’24 hurricane had a massive impact on Sinclair, destroying not only the majority of our temporary classrooms, but also crushing our garden and taking much of the natural beauty and many of our shade providing pine trees.

The Sinclair PTO is committed to bringing shade back to our campus not only through replanting but also through focused fundraising to purchase shade covers for all 3 of our playground structures.

We invite current and former Sinclair families, community members, neighbors, and businesses to help us reach our fundraising goal by purchasing a Brick through our Brick-It Campaign. 4×4 and 8×8 bricks are available for engraving and will be installed in our SPARK park. Purchase by February  17 to be a part of laying the groundwork for enhancements at Sinclair that will benefit our students and community for years to come.

Thank you for your generosity and support of Sinclair.
